Today we celebrate the city that is the City of Manila. And for all what’s been said about the state of the city today, it has been and will always will be “the distinguished and ever loyal city” as we hope and await the city’s retaking of its old glory. Mabuhay ang Maynila!
It is rare that you can get to have a glimpse of history in a place as busy, commercial, and modern as a shopping mall. So I must commend SM Supermalls and the Metropolitan Museum of Manila for making such a thing possible as an effort to enlighten and hopefully educate mall-goers about Manila.

So much has been said about voting for our next national leaders. But I believe the local elections are also important. We cannot fully be able to love and stand up for our country if we do not feel proud and love for the city/town we were born, grew up, and/or have lived in.
