    Well what do you know? It’s been a year already!

    As I was writing the next installment of my series on the Quezon Memorial Circle, I realized that it has been a year already that I have been writing about my chronicles in urban roaming. It was on August 15, 2009 that I first embarked on a journey that I never thought would go this far.     Today we celebrate the city that is the City of Manila. And for all what’s been said about the state of the city today, it has been and will always will be “the distinguished and ever loyal city” as we hope and await the city’s retaking of its old glory. Mabuhay ang Maynila!

    The Urban Roamer joins the call for the Filipino people to make a discerning and intelligent choice for the next leaders of our country, province, city, or town. So much has been said about voting for our next national leaders. But I believe the local elections are also important. We cannot fully be able to love and stand up for our country if we do not feel proud and love for the city/town we were born, grew up, and/or have lived in.
