It’s that time of the year once again as car enthusiasts in the city are going to the World Trade Center Manila for the Manila International Auto Show, (MIAS) which is now on its 10th anniversary.
As to be expected from this event, MIAS 2015 showcases the latest in the local automotive scene: the trends, technologies, not to mention some of the newest models of vehicles fresh off the assembly line being unveiled by some of the leading automobile companies in the country.
One thing to note is the big presence of Mazda this year as it was unveiling some new models this year at the event, with a space in the event area even larger than that of Ford which traditionally had the biggest space in the venue as compared to Mitusubishi and Toyota which have not much to show this year it seems.
Of course, what would be an automotive event without a showcase of cars on display, some of them vintage ones that have been restored to good condition.
One of the vehicles on display is the Popemobile that was used in the recent papal visit of Pope Francis last January, being displayed prominently near the entrance.
There are even toys as well.
And of course, such an auto event/trade fair would not be complete without the beautiful models who are there to “highlight” the various stuff on display there.
MIAS 2015 runs until Sunday, April 12. Entrance is at P100 (P80 for seniors) so if you would like to see the latest in the local automotive scene, this is one event you should check out.
