Last weekend at the SMX Convention Center, it was raining cats and dogs. Well, in a figurative sense in a way since there was intermittent heavy rain that was experienced I believe. But for this entry, I’m talking about that literal meaning here as dogs and cats reigned at Hall 3 of the convention center.
The occasion was the annual Dog and Cat Expo. You can just imagine the furry cuteness overload in the venue during that weekend.
The event was organized by Pet Express, an SM affiliate store that sells pet supplies and other pet-related stuff, especially for dogs and cats. As such, the event showcases various suppliers and manufacturers of accessories, grooming items, food stuff, just about almost anything your pet dog or cat may need.
There were also a number of activities that were held during the weekend expo like a pet blessing, pet yoga, product demos as well as games that pet owners and their pets were eager to join for the prizes.
The event was also marked by the presence of various organizations who advocate the welfare of animals, especially abandoned ones, encouraging people to adopt them as pets.
And with the growing trend of pet cafes in the metropolis, some exhibitors provide a pet cafe experience for the visitors.
All in all, it was a successful event as the Urban Roamer hopes to see more of these pet-related events in the future.
