BAHAY Buffet: A Barbecue Buffet at the South

These days, there are so many weekend food venues and buffet restaurants sprouting all over the metropolis that’s it’s hard even for the Urban Roamer to keep track. While this may be a testament to how Filipinos love food, there is that concern that these venues don’t have a unique identity or that their menu is basically, more of the same.

Then there is the unique concept of BAHAY Buffet, combining elements of the food market and buffet dining, with its specialty in serving grilled food, the type of food Filipinos find hard to resist.

BAHAY Buffet (BAHAY actually stands for Buffet At Home is Always Yummy) is a fairly new buffet/food market organized by a group called BAGA Manila. And BAGA actually stands for Barbecuers and Grillers Association, which makes the theme of this buffet even more sense.

For P399, you get to enjoy servings of barbecues, kebabs, liempos, grilled seafood, as well as pad Thai noodles, chicken wings, and fresh fruits, among other delicacies being served. It also helps that their food tastes quite good, the meat cooked just right and well done.

But you don’t have to limit yourself at the buffet area as there are other vendors and food entrepreneurs in the buffet area who have their own menu offerings you can check out. The variety may not be that much but it is still worth checking out.

BAHAY Buffet is held every fortnight Thursday to Sunday from 4 PM until past midnight at the Lakefront along the South Luzon Expressway in Sucat, Muntinlupa. For more information as well as for updates, you can check out their Facebook page at facebook.com/bahaybuffet.
